The Bob Champion Cancer Trust (BCCT) is dedicated to protecting its supporter’s privacy and their personal information. This privacy statement explains the processes around what data we collect about you, how it is obtained, what it will be used for and who will access it. 

The BCCT is committed to ensuring that all personal information is processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

This privacy statement applies to the information held about you that can be used to identify you as an individual, known as personal information. Personal information includes, but is not limited to, your name, addresses, telephone number, email address, credit card or other billing information. By providing personal information to the BCCT, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the terms of this privacy statement and the subsequent processing of your personal information in accordance with this statement. 

Collection of your Personal Information

When donating including sponsorship or supporting an event by paying an entry fee, buying a ticket, purchasing an item/s or advertising the BCCT will ask for your name, postal address, telephone number and email address. This allows the BCCT to process your request, to contact you if we have any problems with your request or to send you an electronic confirmation of your order or receipt if requested. This information is not shared with a third party. 

If your donation or purchase is made my credit/debit card you will be asked for your card details, the long card number, expiration date and security code. The BCCT will never keep your card details. All credit/debit card information will be destroyed after payment is taken and never be stored after authorisation (magnetic strip data, CVV number or security code). We will never ask for your pin number.

IP Address

We do not collect your IP address when you visit our website.

How your Information is Collected and Stored

Your name, address, email and telephone number/s will only be stored with your permission. We do not share our mailing lists and have no involvement with third parties.

Your information - Your choice

Supporters can request copies of the personal information held about them at any time and to advise us of any amendments to keep the information up to date. We have strict procedures for storing and disclosure of personal information to prevent unauthorised access. Therefore, we will only respond to the email or postal address we hold for you or ask for proof of identity, before we disclose any information.

How we use your information

Your personal information will only be used for Charitable purposes only, inviting you to attend Charity events in your area or that you have attended previously, Christmas card brochure if you have requested or purchased cards in the past and on occasions but not more than once a year a news letter.

Sharing information with service providers

The BCCT will not share your information unless required by law.
